Linear Fluorescent Tubes

1. Determine the size of bulb you need (T5 / T8 / T12)

You can quickly measure any fluorescent tube by comparing it's width to a standard Canadian loonie (which is 26.5mm - or just over 1 inch in size)

  • T12 - should be wider than the loonie
  • T8 - is about the same width as a loonie
  • T5 - (mini's) are about half the width
2. NEXT - Select the overall "length" of the bulb you are looking for

T12 (1-1/2" diameter)

T8 (1" diameter)

T5 (5/8" diameter)

(Measurement of the tube - should include the pins - on both ends)
